Went to these guys based on reviews, and was not disappointed. If you have ever had a transmission failure, you understand that its going to be one of the costlier repairs to a vehicle. the guys at RK\ Pat's are honest and up front about your car's diagnostics, and don't pressure you into making any repair decisions without weighing the options first. I'm glad to know there are mechanics you can still trust!

I was pleasantly surprised with the service I received from my very first phone call until completion of my transmission problem. Lamont was wonderful on the phone. I was nervous, scared, etc. with the prospect of having to replace my transmission. Lamont was kind, professional and very patient with me through the entire procedure. I could not have asked for a better person with whom to deal. When it was time to pickup my car, my first in-person meeting with the staff who were all just as kind, informative, professional, and personable as was Lamont. I intend to take my care there from now on for all my service needs. I guess the only thing I would change if I could would be that while I wait for my car to be serviced I'd be served a nice glass of Pinto Grigio and a hot slice of Jersey pizza. Perhaps that's asking a little much. It was a very good experience for a problem I felt was insurmountable at the time.

Service was great. They took the time to talk to me and show me the worn out parts. It took about a week to get my truck back. The rebuilt transmission works better than the original and the previous rebuilt unit I got from the dealer.

These guys are awesome. I ordered a whole new transmission on Thursday and they called me on Friday afternoon to tell me that it was completed! I was very surprised at how fast these guys work. They treated me with respect the whole time, very quick to respond to any questions I had. They even asked me to bring the car back after 10 days to do a follow-up inspection just to make sure everything is still looking good. I didn't shop prices around much. Just Tao Auto and they were about $600 cheaper than them. Also, the level of professionalism made it an easy decision for me. I only spoke to Lamont from there during the whole of my business transaction and he was excellent as well. No complaints whatsoever. IF I need anything in the future, no doubt they're my first stop.

I had Robert rebuild an old rear end. Robert is smart cares and knows how to go about making things come together on a rebuild. He clearly is in a business he is an expert!

These are truly honest, wonderful people to deal with! I was having issues with my Hyundai Sonata and I took it to Rob and he was extremely honest about what did and did not need to be done. I would definitely recommend Rob and his team if you are looking for a mechanic that does great work and deals with his clients with integrity.

This is the kind of place you want to take your vehicle Robert is a very honest and straight up person. I had some rear end work done on my work van by Robert I had a really tight schedule to meet I needed it back the next day to continue working, he stayed late just to finish up my vehicle so I could have it back, really awesome shop and I will be recommending everyone I know that needs any kind of work done on here vehicle! I took my car in for preventative maintenance as the vehicle users manual suggested a transmission flush at my current vehicle's mileage. Robert insisted he take a look and give it a diagnostic test before going ahead with any repairs as he clearly stated, that he does not want people to have to pay for something that does not need to be fixed. This in turn saved me time and money which are precious to us all when it comes to car repairs especially. Not only did he not charge a penny for running the test which took about 25 mins, he also was incredibly honest and straight forward with the questions I asked. This type of service is rare to find these days, so if you need your transmission repaired in the Raleigh area, I would definitely check this shop out!

Again Rob has pulled me from the fire with his vast knowledge of the automotive industry, and always a fair and great person to deal with. Can't say enough good things about rk trans. Thank you Rob.. your the best!
